Project overview

We are undertaking upgrades to the water network to cater for current and future development and population growth in the area. The project involves the construction of approximately 4,200 metres of new watermain. A new bulk supply point will also be constructed as part of the project. The project will enable growth and development in the area.

Please refer to the overall site map for the works for the entire project which shows the completed watermain. Please keep an eye out in the coming weeks for an updated map showing the dates and locations of our final connections and commissioning works.

Current works

We have completed laying the watermain for the project.

Final connection and commissioning works

While the watermain installation was completed earlier this year, we’ll return in April-June 2026 to carry out final connection and commissioning works.

These activities will require less traffic management than what’s currently in place. We will be providing further updates of these works in the coming weeks.

A reminder that local businesses are still open

A reminder that local businesses in the area are still open. These local businesses would really appreciate your support while we carry out these important works. Rest assured, our crew is working as quickly as possible to finish these works and limit the disruption to the local businesses and the community.

How will this affect you?

  • Working hours – will be between 7am and 6pm Monday to Saturday. Saturday work will only be utilised if required.
  • Please allow extra time for travelling. There will be times when machinery will need to move to allow vehicles to pass by.
  • Street parking within the work zone will be restricted. Please park within your property if possible.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained. There may be times where foot traffic is detoured to keep everyone safe.
  • Construction works - will create noise, vibration, and dust. We will endeavour to keep disruption to a minimum and will be working in accordance with the levels under the Auckland Unitary Plan.

Thank you for your patience

We understand that construction for major projects such as this one can be disruptive. We aim to be a good neighbour while we’re working in your area and will work with you to minimise disruption where we can.
